James ahern

James Ahern, a New York native, is a proud graduate of Florida State University. Beginning his career as a Merrill Lynch Financial Advisor, James has been in the financial industry for nearly 10 years. James currently holds his Series 7 & Series 66 Financial designations. Including the Life, Accident & Health, and Property & Casualty insurance licenses. Alongside James’ financial career, he is a Police Officer in New York with the Nassau County Police Department for over 5 years.

James is an active member of the Supervisory Oversight Committee for the Nassau County Police Department Federal Credit Union giving him the ability of fulfilling his passion of creating trust and transparency for Police Officer’s and their investments throughout their careers and into retirement. Outside of work, James is the Founder of a non-profit organization called James’ Journey, which promotes mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Over the past 5 years, James’ Journey was able to raise over $100,000 with all proceeds being donated between Scholarships for local high school seniors, and the charities of Stop Solider Suicide, Counselors for Change, and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

James is the Director of Operations for the New York office. He is guiding their First Responders through comprehensive financial planning to ensure a bright future for those who serve & protect the public every day.
